She stole our hearts!

Well, I haven't posted for a while, but I had to post this story of Auzzy. Yesterday, she wanted to know why her last name wasn't Black. So, I explained to her why. Then Auzzy demanded that she needed to be adopted. I told her she needed to ask Lance.

Later that night, she decided before she was going to go to bed that she was going to call Lance. So, she called Lance telling him all about her trip to the Idaho Falls Museum and was teasing him. She made me talk to him and then she decided she had to talk to Lance again. She then asked Lance and he told her yes. Auzzy's face then just beamed and her eyes sparkled is was the cutest thing ever.

More news, Lance is living in Washington got a new job. Auzzy and I are still here in Idaho waiting for the house to sale or for me to get a new job. It is exciting!

Hello My Name is Joe!

Well, Austyn has been in school a couple of weeks now and is learning lots. Stuff I never thought of learning in Kindergarten. She has been doing addition and subtraction. She has been reading really well too. Anyway, last night at Nana and Papa's house (Grandma and Grandpa Gallup) Austyn was being silly doing Nana's hair and then suddenly bursts out in this poem that I am assuming she learned from school that goes like this:
Hello my name is Joe,
I live and work in a button factory,
One day my boss comes up to me and says,
"Are you busy?"
I said, "No."
"Push that button, push that button!"

The way Austyn was saying it got Nana and I laughing so hard. I am wondering what her teachers are going to teach her next.

Austyn's Broken Arm

The last week of school Austyn was goofing
around on the swing and fell off and broke her arm
and got a pretty good gooseache on her head
too. This picture was taken yesterday when
we went back into the doctor to see if we
could get her splint taken off. We were successful,
but there was some restrictions that she
still had to wear it when she was going
to do anything that might cause to her to fall, like
riding her bike. She did pretty well the whole
three weeks of having it on without getting it
wet. We are proud of you Austyn. Love, Mom & Dad.

Easter for Austyn

Here are some pictures of Austyn on Easter.

Austyn's Last Soccer Game for the Season

Well, I haven't update in a while, but life is good at the Black house. We enrolled Austyn in Soccer and she loved it. She mainly liked to play goalie. Here are some photos of Austyn playing at her last soccer game. Hopefully within the next couple of days I will have photos of Austyn's birthday party and easter egg hunting.

Couple of funny stories...

The first funny story...

We ran out of dishwasher soap, so the bright Darcie told Lance to put DAWN dish soap in the dishwasher. Well, you can only imagine what happened...Yes, bubbles came out of the dishwasher and on to the floor. Had I been thinking I should have taken a picture of that. So, don't ever put DAWN dish soap in the dishwasher.

The second funny story...
Today I saw Austyn sucking her thumb and I asked her why she was doing that.

Her response: I am trying to water it so it will grow.

The story behind that was yesterday she had a snagged nail and I had to end up cutting it really short. I then told her that it would grow back because she was devastated that I cut it. She of course thought is was going to grow back right away.

I am only 4 and think this...

Lance had to tell me this little story yesterday, which I thought was funny and cute about Austyn. Lance was on one of his days off yesterday, so that means he would take Austyn to school. 9 o'clock AM rolls around, Lance and Austyn are just getting out of bed. At this point Austyn is already late for school.

Here is the cute part, Austyn says, "Dad is mommy home?"

Lance says, "Mommy left two hours ago for work."

So Austyn says, "Dad do I have to go to school?"

Lance says, "Yes, Austyn you have to go to school."

So, just because Lance is on is days off Austyn thinks she can get away with somethings that mommy wouldn't agree with. It just makes me think what them two are always up to while I am at work. To me it sounds like someone by the name of Austyn has her finger wrapped around Daddy, Lance.

Austyn's Violin Christmas Concert

We thought we would share this video of Austyn playing the violin for her Christmas Concert. If you know Austyn this is truly who she is. Sometime Goofy and always makes you laugh and of course a busy body. She had Lance, Nana, Papa, and I laughing hysterically.

Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and Pussin Boots

I have to tell yout this funny story or game we play in our family. Well, it all began when Lance got his nickname from work known as Shrek. Now if you ever have seen Lance and when Shrek looks like a human you would understand. Anyway, when we starting dating I became Fiona and as time went on Austyn became Donkey, which fits her well because of what she says and does. Now you are probably wondering where Pussin Boots comes in, well, that is our dog Stitch. Every once in a while though Austyn decides she wants to be Pussin Boots, which fits her too because she is getting tall and his skinny minnie, plus, she can be sassy. Now we don't play this game everyday just when Austyn wants too, which happens about once a week and mostly while we are on car rides. There for a while she thought she was baby Shrek, but she has decided that isn't so and tell us that she has a brother and a sister in Heaven. Well, we will probably someday be living the story of Shrek 3rd when it happens except Lance hopes that doesn't happen with multiple babies. I tease him and tell him that it is possible since twins are in my family. Love you Shrek!

Mona Lisa and Shrek

This is a picture of Lance (aka Shrek) and CY's dog Mona Lisa. You can see why the dog is called Mona Lisa.

More about the Black's Life

Well, I said I would post some pictures. I tried once and it just wasn't working right, but I will get their eventually. Anyway, it seems like the only time I have to post is when I am work. I think it is because I have two busy bodies in my house that keep me busy. Austyn will be five on April 16, 2008. She is looking forward to turning five. It is amazing how much they grow up. She also thinks she needs a baby brother or sister and she things there are both. I keep telling her maybe someday or whenever it happens. Austyn is excelling really well at school. She is beginning to do Math and Reading. She loves to read because ever night we have to read her a book before she goes to bed and at least every two weeks or so we go to the library. Austyn has also decided to take up the Violin. She is doing pretty good at that except she doesn't like to practice. I think that's the mom's fault. If anyone every wants to go watch a movie and wants someone to go with come get Austyn. This little girl, loves to watch movies. I am not sure where she got that from since Mom doesn't like to watch movies. She also likes to play Trouble, which she calls it the Naughty game.

Last week I sent Lance back to Colorado to see his family for his Valentine's present and plus he was getting grumpy. It sound like he had a great time with his family especially test driving 2009 trucks and seeing CY's dogs, which are huge. At least he came back happier then when he left. Those four days while he was gone I continued in my decorating mode and painted our bedroom, which I love. I am almost finished with it or at least I hope I finish by this weekend so we can have our bed back. Maybe I will have to show you some pictures of my master piece.

I guess I will be finished now. I hope everyone has a Happy Valentine's Day!

Austyn testing out her new snow gear that she got for Christmas.

Holiday Break

Well, I don't have any pictures to upload at this moment because I am at work, but hopefully you will all see some pictures soon.

Starting with Thanksgiving...This year we spent it in Colorado with Lance's family and my friend Tailee from Hawaii came with us. We started Thanksgiving weekend with dinner at Lance's sister's house, Devo. Then on Friday, we went to visit some of Lance's Dad's Family, which was great to meet some more family. By Saturday, it was party day, or should I say our neices wedding, Breezy. That was a lot of fun! The night started at five o'clock and I think by the time we hit the sack it was 2AM. That whole weekend we stayed with Lance's friends Justin and Rachel, Roger and Asik-The two dogs. It was nice to stay with them. We watch movies and played lot of on WII while we stayed there. Oh yeah, I all most forgot we had a delay in our travels on getting back home. There was a bad snow storm Saturday night which made roads close and really slick roads. Of course, the roads we needed to go on where closed, but we made it home safe and that is all that matters. I will have to say that Austyn is a really good traveler when going on 10 hour trips and she was a trooper that whole weekend she managed to awake through Breezy and Eli's wedding and reception.

Starting with Christmas...Well, we started a Christmas a day early this year because my brother had to go back to work, so we opened presents from them and them from us on Christmas Eve. One tradition that we do every year is allow the children to open one gift, which is always Pajamas. Oh my...Austyn is growing fast. She has monkey arms. We bought pajamas, which we thought were her size, but in the arms are just to short. Well, we finally got everyone to bed and Christmas day started at 8AM opening presents. My parents stayed the night at our house so they did not have to spend Christmas alone. We were also glad that Lance's work ended up canceling work that day because of closed roads. So, we did not have to wait to open presents until 8PM. It was a great day of relaxing, making food, and watching T.V. that whole weekend. Austyn got a new bed, a new Tinkerbell quilt that Nana and Mommy made her, Shrek the Halls movie from Grandma Gloria and Grandpa Darrell along with some clothes from them, which were greatly appreciate sense she has almost growin out of all the rest of her clothes. She also got puzzles, more clothes, a hot chocolate maker, a mug, more polly pocket stuff, pet shop toys, a mirror, and games.

Finally, to end the Holiday break...New Years Eve was Lance staying up all night, me going to bed at ten, and Austyn stayed the night at Nana and Papa's house. Happy New Year to all!
